Each year grades 5-8 have the opportunity to participate in a geographic bee sponsored by the National Geographic Society. This year Gavin Howard won first place, and the right to take the written test and compete at the state level. Declan Williams was second place, and Eli Mattingly was third place. Should something happen to prevent Gavin from participating at the state level, these would be the next two in line to compete. There were six other students who received honorable mention. They are: Kailee Lanham, Sarah Payne, Kamryn Johnson, Kenzie McDowell, Taylor Lanham, and Abby Payne. Congratulations everyone!!
